Dr. Masha Gavrailova graduated from the Medical Academy in Sofia. She participated in many postgraduate courses in the field of environmental health and prevention of noncommunicable diseases. She worked as a Physician and then as a Head of Department of the Sofia Hygienic and Epidemiological InspectorateAnchor. Dr. Gavrailova worked as a Senior Expert and then as a Chief of Public Health Protection Department at the Ministry of Health.
Over the past 15 years she focused her efforts on reducing the influence of the negative environmental factors on health, reducing smoking and alcohol abuse in Bulgaria, on improving the health status of Roma people, on oral diseases prevention in children, on reducing osteoporosis, improving nutrition of the population, etc. participating in laws’ development and implementation, in set up national programs and projects in these areas.
After her retirement in 2011 she is working on the project “Informed and Healthy”, implemented by the Ministry of Health under the Operational Program Human Resources Development, on the project “It’s never too late to stop the osteoporosis”, funded by the International Osteoporosis Foundation and as an Senior Expert at the project “Bring Back the Ban” funded by Bloomberg Philanthropy and by the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung diseases.
Two type of complaints may be submitted to the National Council for Self-regulation in case of a breach of:
1. Ethical Code - related to the content (misleading, offensive, inappropriate for children etc.) of an advertisement or any other form of commercial communiaction or
